Hello! My name is Araceli Vargas, I am Mexican and I live in
Mexico. I have a degree in language and literature from the University of
Concordia in Montreal, Canada and I love talking with others about topics
interesting!
I created this workshop during the summer of 2023 and until today
From now on we have had groups every month, without pause, where we talk about everything! Come
to practice Spanish in this community of students and lovers of the Spanish language.
Who is the workshop aimed at?
This Workshop is not directed
exclusively to Spanish students (although they are the majority), but
is open to Spanish speakers.
What topics did we talk about in the workshop?
We've talked about everything! From the
interpersonal relationships, AI, artificial intelligence, psychology,
Spanish chefs who receive Michelin stars, entrepreneurial bakers,
original ex-presidents, from indigenous cultures of America, from aborigines, from
writers, cinema, minimalism, life after life, the crisis
real estate, rural exodus in some countries, finance, Peru,
Mexico, Uruguay, Barcelona, musicians, the Camino de Santiago,
of the Asian tsunami, even of ghosts! (if they exist).
My commitment
As a teacher and guide of this
workshop, my commitment is to give you resources so that you can express yourself every day
better and better in this language and always propose interesting topics. Let us
encourage us to reflect!
How does the Conversation Workshop work?
We have a meeting every week for a consecutive month.
The workshops are continuous, each month there are groups and it is optional to participate in 1
month or several months. Registration and payment for the workshop are made monthly.
They are small groups so everyone can practice!
In the live online meeting, we talked about a topic
specifically previously chosen by the group from a list of topics and content
that I propose to them. The group has a guide questionnaire that helps us
better frame the conversation and a video or audio that talks about that
theme, which they previously viewed.
